We understand that environmental projects are often high-priority and time-sensitive. With that in mind, ARS strives to provide clients with cost estimates and work proposals as quickly as possible.

An ARS project manager can typically visit your building within 24 hours and email a writtten estimate/proposal shortly thereafter. In many cases, we can offer same day service or provide estimates over the phone if a site visit is not necessary.

Q: What factors determine the price of a project?

The cost to remove asbestos, mold or lead from buildings depends on number of factors. Some of these factors include:

  • Location of project site (federal, state and local regulations may require a project permit and associated fee)

  • Amount of material to be removed

  • The presence of other building materials around the contaminant

  • Removal methods and containment requirements

Q: How long does it take to remove asbestos, mold or lead from my building?

Each project is different in its requirements and needs, all of which contribute to the overall time it takes to complete the project. Some factors that contribute to the project timeline are: the building, the material being removed, the amount being removed, the condition of the building, the location of material in the building, the containment and the applicable federal, state and local regulations.

Most times, residential projects are completed in one day. Larger commercial projects may take longer. No matter the case, ARS works to complete each project thoroughly and efficiently, returning your home or building back to a safe and healthy condition.

Q: How will removal activities affect other activities in my home/building?

Our highest priority is performing environmental remediation in a safe and responsible manner, with little disruption to the other spaces in your home or building.

For each project, we perform a thorough site preparation that involves assembling a containment space, shutting down all ventilation and operating HEPA filtered negative air machines to keep dust within the enclosure. During the project, workers remove the environmental contaminant from within the enclosure and decontaminate their work suits/equipment before leaving the containment space. After removal activities, all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned as to leave no trace of prior contamination. Final clearance air sampling is performed by a third party prior to re-occupancy.
